We have been in and out of the Koh Kood for so many years. In fact, we were actually born on the island. We grew up and work in Bangkok. Every time we feel tired and drained from work, we usually go back to our home here. Back then, there was no electricity. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. It was like the time had stopped. We felt so rested.

Our love ones and friends also felt the same way. They kept asking us to take them along whenever we went back again. Then we came to think that it would be nice if we could share this feeling with the others and this was how “Shantaa” has begun.

Shantaa is a family-owned resort. It is designed to have only a few villas to limit the number of guests at a time. With a small number of guests, we are able to take care of all the guests like we are taking care of our friends. For this reason, Shantaa turns out to be warm, quiet and peaceful as we intended to. We are best for anyone who wants to escape from their busy city life.

Shantaa staffs and partners are not hotel professional. We don’t need to be hotel professionals to make guests happy. We service by hearts. So we can proudly say that we are one of the best small (not-professional) resorts in the eastern part of Thailand.

 

Shantaa Villa :

We put Our villas are on the high ground to have the best view of Ao-Tapao. You can even watch sunset right from your bed. Every villa is one bedroom, air-conditioned with a private terrace. 10 simply yet stylish villas, good for 2-4 person/room. Every villa is one bedroom with sea view.

The room facilities are: 
- 2 Queen size beds (5ft.x 6.5ft.) with thick and soft comforter
- Music player
- Air-conditioning (operates from 6pm to 8am due to the limited power on the island)
- Fan, Flashlight, Umbrella, Mat and Pillows 
- Basket for used cloths and towels
- Trunk to put your belongings out of plain sight

- Rain Shower with hot & cold water

Shantaa Sweet:

5 modern contemporary villas (Sweets). Each Sweet has one bedroom, one spacious open-garden bathroom, one outdoor living room with sea view. This room type is especially designed for a sweet couple.

 The room facilities are:
- 1 King size bed with soft and thick comforter
- Air-conditioning (operates from 6pm to 8am due to the limited power supply on the island) 
- Music Player with capability of connecting to your MP3 player
- Closet that big enough to put all of your suitcases out of sight
- Ceiling fan to keep the air flows during the day

Open Garden Bathroom :

It’s our signature. The bathroom is wide and open. There are wet and dry and the garden area. You will feel like taking shower in the middle of the garden. It’s a very nice feeling indeed. We also have towels and herbal toiletry set.

Beach at Shantaa :  Shantaa is quite big. We have beach, a private canal and a small hill. If you walk down about a sixty meters from the restaurant, you will get to the beach. There is a jetty on the beach. Once you walk across the jetty (beneath or over), you will get to the another section of the beach which is a very long. You can walk as far as you’d like. Tapao beach is very beautiful. The water is clean and blue clear, especially on the bright sunny day. At the beach, we have beach bar that you can order drinks and snacks. Kayaks and beach towels are also available there. 

Shantaa restaurant is the 8-sided and open to fresh sea breeze. It’s where we dine while enjoy the great view of Ao Tapao and beautiful music that we play all day long. All meals are prepared by local chefs to have the local touch of the island. Beside meals, we also have snacks, drinks, smoothies and gourmet coffee to order.
Daily service: 7.00 am. - 10.00 pm.(Last order 8:30 pm.)

Shantaa Beach Bar It’s the place you can totally relax on the beach, with your favorite books or just watching the wave rolling onto the shore while listening to the music that we play all day. You can order drinks, smoothies and snack here as well. If you feel energetic, there are a variety of beach activities available such as scuba & snorkeling, Thai traditional massage, kayak, and bicycle ride.
